1whitley is maintained by Laura, who has worked in the weather industry since 2002. Currently working as a meteorologist for MeteoGroup UK, she has previously worked for the Met Office in Exeter and at the BBC Weather Centre.

Her main hobby, and reason for this site's existence, is weather photography. She also likes getting out and about whenever possible, so has photographed much more than weather and you will find plenty of subjects in her flickr photostream.
